One of the best airbnb experiences so far! The tipi is such a wonderful way to experience the outdoors in Scotland. Very comfortable and cozy! And Torsten is an amazing host! Very knowledgeable about Scotland and a great conversationalist. I highly recommend for anyone wanting a unique experience.

To sleep in a Tipi is always a nice experience if you are open minded and moreover when travelling with kids. In addition, if the host helps you so much as Torsten helped us, the stay at Torsten's place is highly recommended to those who want to discover the Highlands in a different way.

Torsten - an excellent guide! He planned out our tour days first thing. His knowledge of Scotland was exceptional; he was very flexible in either following our exact plans or offering little side trips (like to a waterfall or cairn site) if we agreed to it. So much fun riding and talking with him. His stories were captivating and the sites spoke for themselves. We always felt like he was there to make our trip personally special and was as patient as anyone might hope for. Highest recommendations!

Torsten is a fantastic guide! He was very knowledgeable about the area and he was very engaging. All of the sites on the tour were wonderful, but it was Torsten's commentary and wonderful personality which made the experience truly stand out! We felt free to ask Torsten to stop whenever we wanted a specific view or photo. He came with us into the attractions to give us further information when appropriate. Torsten worked continually to give us a refreshing and tailored experience!

There was so much we wanted to see in the area of Inverness but our time was limited. We were so fortunate to have Torsten as our guide because he kindly obliged our wishes and took us to every site we asked for plus more! The day turned out to be one of the most memorable of our trip, visiting Cullloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns, Cawdor Castle, Inverness, Loch Ness, Urquart Castle and Cawdor Castle. Thank you, Torsten for all the great conversation and FUN of this day! We will never forget it!

I spend 3 nights with my teenage son and we both really enjoyed the alternative camping experience. Torsten was welcoming and we had some fascinating conversations. We took advantage of his local knowledge to visit a couple of places. I would recommend Torsten and his tipi to anyone wanted to chill out and explore this part of Scotland.

Torsten was terrific. In addition to the normal tourist locations, he took us to some out of the way places. We got to see some special things and a feel for the people of Scotland. Wonderful !!!

Stayed for 2 nights with my teenage son, had a fantastic time. Torsten is a fantastic host, very friendly and goes above and beyond to look after his guests. His knowledge of great places to visit was taken advantage of and we toured some amazing coastline during our stay. Peaceful location surrounded by fields; great place to enjoy a beer or two next to the fire and under the stars. Would recommend to anyone that wants a chilled out week away from it all.

This was the best day trip tour my family has ever taken and we've taken a lot! Torsten was so much fun and exactly what we were looking for. He was flexible and adventerous. We saw parts of Scotland that we would never have seen on a typical tour trip. Pick up and drop off from our cruise ship was simple and the whole day was super exciting and beautiful. If you are looking for the unique and "off the beaten path" day trip then Torsten is your guy. You won't be sorry with this tour!

Torsten's tipi was perfect. It was set up with a mattress inside on an elevated platform and the fire cage in the middle. Torsten taught me how to open and close the top of the tipi to vent the smoke, but he also offered to do it for me if he were home. He's a generous host and he drove me to buy groceries my first day and even dropped me off at the bus station on his way to do a tour on my last day. Plus there's a room inside where I could keep my stuff and sleep if I needed a break from the tipi. I went to be alone and meditate, which I accomplished, but there was also a piping competition in nearby Forres so there were fun activities nearby. I recommend it, and if you're traveling without a car like I am then just communicate and Torsten will do what he can to help.
