The Speyside Malt Whisky Trail in Moray
A tour of the Speyside Whisky Trail, visiting some of the best whisky makers in the world. There are many different ways you could experience Speyside’s Malt Whisky Trail, in this example I am offering an intensive introduction to the main aspects of Speyside and it’s whisky making history, visiting 4 of my favourite distilleries in a whistle stop tour of the area, but you don’t have to be a whisky specialist to enjoy it! The area is beautiful, so there are many options to take in the stunning surroundings and landscape which makes our whisky the best in the world. If you already know your whisky, and want to see as much of Speyside as you can in one day, we can tailor your trip to that. If you’ve already seen the main distilleries, and want to go somewhere more off the beaten track, let me know! We also visit the Speyside Cooperage where the barrels are made, and finish our day at Gordon & MacPhail in Elgin, the world’s leading malt whisky specialist. For a perfect finish to your day, I can take you to the Drouthy Cobbler in Elgin - one of the best bar and restaurants in the area. They have an extensive collection of whiskies, local gins and more. It’s a very cool place which serves great locally sourced food – and a lovely heated outdoor seating area which is rare in Scotland! No matter what you can enjoy your dram, inside or outside!

-	The order of visiting each place is subject to change based on where you choose to visit. - Since we are talking about around 50 working distilleries in Speyside, the options are endless! You can choose to do my Heart of Whisky World Tour, a delve in to the heart of Spey Bay, visiting Glenfiddich, Aberlour, stop for lunch at the Mash Tun in Aberlour, Glenfarclas, Macallan, Speyside Cooperage, and Gordon & MacPhail. This is a set tour, and visiting all 4 distilleries would depend on how much time you want to spend at each place. - Visit Gordon and MacPhail, the world’s leading malt whisky specialist, where you have a chance to try some of the more difficult to find whiskies out there! An amazing shop where you can find many wonderful bottles you’ll want to take home! - Again, we can create your own personal whisky tour, so please get in touch if you would like to visit certain places, and we can tailor something to your needs.
