Torsten has shown me around Inverness and the surrounding areas on multiple occasions now. I usually come to Scotland once a year, and Torsten is always a great part of this trip. He not only knows the surrounding areas intimately, his unique perspectives, humor and charm really help it turn into an adventure. I couldn't recommend him enough, plus his property that he can house guests is amazing! Definitely stay with him in his teepee if you get the chance.

I invited a good friend of mine up to the local area and wanted to show him something different so decided to give Torsten a call! He was a very friendly guy who was incredibly flexible when it came to the tour alongside many interesting stories. We started off seeing the Moray Coastline and then going to see some Ospreys in Spey Bay. Unfortunately due to extreme unexpected snow the center was closed so we headed down to Glenfiddich Distillery where we learned how the famous Whisky was made. All in all a incredibly enjoyable tour with many sights and laughs to have! The great thing was we were just going with the flow the way along which was brilliant! Thanks Torsten!

We experienced some amazing places we never would have found without Torsten. He adapted his tour to suit or needs and we went at our own pace. He's super friendly and has some good stories to tell. We look forward to experiencing some new places with him in the future.

This was my second time staying at Torsten's in the Tipi set up in his back garden. Torsten is a gracious and generous host. He has taken me touring through the country to places and private homes that I would otherwise NEVER have seen and the experience was amazing. Everything was tailored to my own personal needs, all I had to do was let Torsten know what those were. If you are coming to Scotland and are looking for some individual attention at affordable prices definitely use Torsten's services; the only limits are your imagination and your pocketbook.

I highly recommend Torsten as a tour guide, he has lived up to his promise of helping my friend and I to "Experience Scotland differently".
I thoroughly enjoyed every outing he took us to, the black "guinness stout" rivers, cultural relics, mountain and sea wildlife, and lots of stories to share.
It sure beats taking a regular tour bus that drops you off a site, tells you a little about the place and packs everyone into the bus to another spot. Torsten offers his personal experience with the great landscapes of Scottish highlands, takes you into little known sites, shows you so much more that Scotland has than meets the eye.
The tipi and little elevated meditation hut he built himself are winners too!
I won't reveal anymore than that. If you want to know what experiencing Scotland differently is, Torsten's the guy to look up.
He appreciates direct honesty, so let him know if you want music in the car or mind his smoking, and I'm sure he'll accommodate to your request.

I had a wonderful stay at Torsten's place in the tipi - perfectly peaceful and relaxing and just what i was after. The tipi is in an amazing location, feels like you are away from everything in a superb setting - fields, space, expansive views etc - and yet it's easy to get around from his place to lots of fabulous locations in the area. I was blessed with good weather, and spent a few blissful evenings watching amazing sunsets, with a full moon on the horizon, and only the sound of barn owls in the background. Torsten is a great host and really took some time to understand what i wanted from my holiday and gave great advice on things to do. He also offers tours as well as having a place to stay (look up 'experience Scotland differently') and i did a tour with him - great fun and really tailored to what I was looking for rather than some carbon copy tour. I would recommend getting in touch to chat about possible tours. He's cheap, flexible and not at all pushy (which i found refreshing!). Torsten is a great guy - he draws on his understanding and connections in scotland to provide a unique experience - if you are after something a bit different he's definitely a person to get in touch with.

On my first visit to Scotland, I wanted to stay somewhere different and chose to stay in the tipi for the first two days. Torsten is a fantastic host and it was a great experience to see parts of the area I might not have had a chance to otherwise. The location is gorgeous and peaceful. I enjoyed my stay so much at the end of my trip I returned to stay with two friends before we went home. Thanks again, Torsten for being a great host and friend. Looking forward to my next trip to Scotland.

My family and I were looking for something a little different for the tail end of our trip to Scotland. The tipi definitely fit the bill. Torsten is a great guy, probably the nicest person we met on our trip. He is a great guide, and knows a lot of the area, many beautiful sites around there. If you are adventurous, this is worth it. Thanks again Torsten!

Experiencing Scotland with Torsten has been a real pleasure. Excellent tour guide with excellent local knowledge. The tipi is amazing, in a quiet location yet close to local amenities. Next trip is already planned.
