I spent the month of July staying in Torsten's home, and it was unlike any other place I've stayed. He was kind enough to make an exception and allow me to bring my dog, and while it was too cold for my old dog to stay in the teepee, he allowed us to stay in a spare bedroom indoors.
The location is awe inspiring, peaceful, and full of history! We shared beyond interesting conversations with Torsten over drinks, and he was beyond kind to me when making me dinner, including some traditional haggis!
He picked us up from the train station, to the grocery store, and to and from the rental car place.
He even made it so that I could "knight" my dog as a joke. Costumes, sword, and everything! Lots of fun pictures and conversation with him, his friend (Sarah) and her daughter that day!
I can't thank him enough for providing such a unique and affordable place for myself and my dog to enjoy. An unforgettable experience!
Torsten is quite the character! As were his other guests.
And you'd definitely be missing out on one crazy slice of life if you didn't stay here.
Thanks again, my crazy German friend, for being so patient with myself and "Pound." We'll never forget you!! :-)
